Ask the board of nursing

Vermont's published rules don't answer these. Ask before you apply — sos.vermont.gov.

  • Jurisprudence exam. Does Vermont require a jurisprudence or ethics exam?
  • Criminal-history requirements. What criminal-history requirements apply to nursing licensure in Vermont?
  • Approved CE providers. Where do I find CE that Vermont will accept?
  • If your licence lapses. My Vermont licence expired — what is the reinstatement process?

Where the sources disagree or go quiet

Worth asking about directly.

  1. What is the current fingerprint and background-check fee for nursing applicants?

  2. What are the Fast Track Endorsement eligibility terms and fees for 3-year out-of-state licensees?
